Pan Pacific Auditorium, Los Angeles

Pan Pacific Auditorium Los Angeles in colorThe Pan Pacific Auditorium is one of my favorite lost Streamline Moderne buildings in Los Angeles. It opened in the mid 1930s where it stood at 7600 West Beverly Boulevard near the site of the Gilmore Field baseball stadium. For 35 years it hosted political events, car shows, circuses, conventions, and concerts until it closed in 1972, then stood neglected for another 17 years until an enormous fire engulfed it.
