A roofless Los Angeles Motor Coach Bus on Wilshire Blvd, circa 1930sAlthough I’ve seen photos of the roofless Los Angeles Motor Coach Buses before, the sight of one still catches my eye. This one was on Wilshire Boulevard sometime during the 1930s. Take a look at the darkish building in the background, sandwiched between the office tower and the line of stores—it’s a large private residence. You don’t see any along Wilshire anymore but back then, Wilshire was lined with them.
