Wartime-era street car, 6th Street, Los Angeles, 1943This shot is so very wartime LA that I’m glad it was taken in color. It was taken in 1943 on West 6th Street near Westmoreland Ave, which puts it right near the Ambassador Hotel and the “Eat in the Hat” Brown Derby. I wonder if anybody on that streetcar was going to work at either of those places.
