Entrance to Beverly Hills Hotel, circa 1920s

Entrance to Beverly Hills Hotel, circa 1920sSeeing as how the Sunset Bridal Path wasn’t too far from the Beverly Hills Hotel, I guess I shouldn’t have been too surprised to see this photo of a group of people riding horses down the hotel’s driveway. Judging from the size of the palm trees (and the car parked behind them) I’d say that this was taken in the 1920s. The bridle path opened in 1925, so perhaps the mid-20s? Still, it’s not a sight you’re likely to see these days.

The same view today.
