"Hotel Hollywood" at night, Hollywood Blvd, 1936Here is a wonderfully atmospheric shot of the Hollywood Hotel captured by a Life magazine photographer in 1936. Interestingly the hotel’s sign across the front reads “HOTEL HOLLYWOOD” rather than the other way around. In the second photo below, we can see Grauman’s Chinese Theater lit up for the night.
