Brown Derby Restaurant, Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, circa 1947

Brown Derby Restaurant, Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, circa 1947Two of my favorite types of vintage Los Angeles photos are of a Brown Derby restaurant and of a terrific use of neon light. So finding this one makes my heart go pitty-pat. This is the Brown Derby restaurant we don’t often see in old photos — the one at 4500 Los Feliz Boulevard. Judging from the cars parked outside, this photo is circa 1947. The building is still there, and still a restaurant, which is more than can be said for the other Brown Derby locations.
