This Art Deco marvel was at 5651 Wilshire Boulevard, at the corner of Hauser Blvd, a couple of blocks east of the La Brea Tar Pits. I found it interesting that so much thought, detail, and beauty would go into the façade of a store, which sold automobile supplies. I don’t recall any Pep Boys locations looking like this. I also love the cars parked out front, and the lone oil well to the far right. Interestingly, this building does still exist, however it doesn’t look nearly so gorgeous—and it’s also an IHOP.
