Bicyclists on Western Ave, 1984
Members of the L.A. Times Bicycle Club ride north on Western Avenue toward Hollywood, 1894. Unlike today, they clearly don’t have to be concerned about getting knocked over by speeding trucks or preoccupied drivers on cell phones. But I don’t know how enjoyable it would be riding on unsealed roads like they—those don’t look like dirt bikes to me.
