Lewis L. Bradbury was a mining millionaire who became a real estate developer in the latter part of his life. He famously built the Bradbury Building in downtown L.A. but in my view, it’s his mansion at the corner of Hill Street & Court Street (also downtown LA) that’s the *really* impressive structure.
