Hollywood Bowl entrance at night

The entrance to the Hollywood Bowl, 1940. The figure at the end is part of a fountain called the Muse Fountain as it depicts the muses of music, dance and drama. It was designed by sculptor George Stanley whose previous claim to fame was that he’d made the original Oscar statuette (which was based on a design by MGM art director Cedric Gibbons.)
