First women jury in Los Angeles, 1911
This was the first all woman jury in California, who acquitted the editor of the Watts News of printing indecent language, on Nov. 2, 1911. (Makes you wonder what the hell—er, I mean what the tarnation he wrote, huh???)

    Even though they apparently had a heart and acquitted the newspaper editor, I’d sure hate to have those eyes and faces staring me down if I was on trial for simply spitting on the sidewalk!
