A redcar runs past Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard during the run of “The Robe.” “The Robe” was the second movie made in CinemaScope, but the first to be released (Sept. 16, 1953). (The first film to be made in CinemaScope was “How to Marry a Millionaire” and was released Nov. 4, 1953.)
Will always and forever be “Grauman’s” Chinese Theater to me. And it used to be such an honor to be chosen to imprint hands and feet and sign the wet cement. Nowadays it’s par for the times in that – in many occasions – “mock ceremonies” have been paid for by studios simply for the publicity!
Wish there was a time machine to bring back the classy and exciting Golden Age of Hollywood!
