Beverly Hills City Hall, 1937

Beverly Hills City Hall, 1937One of the most beautiful buildings in L.A. is the Beverly Hills City Hall. It opened in 1932, was photographed here on August 9, 1937, and is, thankfully, still standing.

  1. I love the pic of the B.H. City Hall; it was truly beautiful & hope you can locate a color picture of it. Great to know it is still there. We lived so close to it (second house on N. Crescent Dr., Santa Monica Blvd. & and red car tracks) and the Public library was close too. Wonder Bread (or was it Webber’s?) had its bakery near the City Hall and the aroma of baking bread was amazing. Fondly.

Louella, a couple of more recent pics, but they do confirm, as you said, how majestic this beautiful old building still is. And I’m very grateful it’s still with us!
