In the summer of 1959, the Garden of Allah was sold to a property developer with plans to build a mini mall (because, apparently, L.A. needs more mini malls.) Before they tore down the property, an auction of all its effects was held. The items that brought the most was–no big surprise–Errol Flynn’s bed.
