I’ve had a few readers of my 2nd book, The Trouble with Scarlett and ask me about one of the characters, Countess Dorothy di Frasso, and what she looked like. So I’m posting a photo–probably the best known of her–with Cary Cooper. She and Coop at an affair in Italy in the 1920s and when he decided to give Hollywood a go, she came along too. The relationship didn’t last much longer after that but they parted the best of friends. She later had an affair with Bugsy Siegel which was, according to two sources I read, carried out at the Garden of Allah hotel.
