This picture was taken the day that the Hollywood Bowl opened on July 11, 1922 with a show entitled “Symphony Under the Stars.” I hope the show wasn’t too long because, quite frankly, that seating doesn’t look too comfy. And I assume someone had the foresight to pull that tree out because it looks like the seating goes beyond it—not great for seeing the stage.
