A 1937 view looking west down Hollywood Blvd. from Argyle Ave. On the left we can see a Dodge Plymouth car dealership, and past that, the Taft building on the corner of Vine. Over the years the Taft building has provided offices for Charlie Chaplin, Will Rogers and, from 1935 to 1945, it was home to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. We can also see the streetcar that ran the length of Hollywood Boulevard. Clang! Clang! Clang!
