The famous Mocambo nightclub at 8588 Sunset Boulevard on the Sunset Strip. It opened in January 1941 and was one of the biggest and most famous of the Sunset Strip club through the 40s and 50s. It’s shown here in the 1950s was when Eartha Kitt was the headliner.

The most Elegant Lady and friend Mary Morrison wife of owner Mr. Morrison of the Mocambo met and greeted me at the Veranda entrance at the Beverly Hillsatr Hotel Every morning where directed fashion Sales at Helfts stores at the Hotel. Mary had known every star and fashion look in the Golden years and still looked like a blonde bombshell and dressed like a Starlet. Sometimes after work, we would have a drink in the famous Polo Lounge. Dino would insist that Miss Morrison be seated in a large booth with me which was #1. At one time Mr. Sinatra worked for no fee to help mary during a slow time. I was a galant single man and Mary would tell me which girls to date and which ones to stay away from, a loving true friend as was Gladys Burrows, and Micheline Lerner all glamour Girls, Mary owned a Spanish duplex on Roxbury drive and drove a vintage white Jaguar
