Those of us who have spent our lives watching old Hollywood movies on TV can easily forget that once upon a time people actually went to the trouble of getting dressed up, catching a red car all the way into downtown L.A. to go to see the latest Bette Davis movie at places like the Warner Bros. Downtown Theater. Photos like this help me to remember a bygone era that I was not around for.
