The Capitol Records building, just north of the Hollywood and Vine intersection, has become such a iconic part of the Hollywood skyline, that it’s hard to picture a time when it wasn’t there. Here’s a rare picture of it being built in the mid-1950s and you can see it taking its famous circular shape.

Louella has mentioned that she worked at the Taft building and watched while Capitol Records was being built. Now we can witness what she saw so long ago. Love those cars!
