Crossroads of the World the world’s first planned outdoor shopping mall at 6671 Sunset Blvd not long after it opened, late 1936. Amazingly, it’s still around although these days the stores are used as offices. (This is where local TV personality and California booster Huell Howser had his offices at the time of his death.)

Always have felt a very comfortable kinship with this beautiful slice-of-heaven plaza. Don’t know why other than mebbe in my previous life I held court here haha I’m glad it’s still with us and being utilized as offices. I wouldn’t mind having one here if I so needed it.

Somewhere in the far back was a covered wishing well which could be accessed also from the Blessed Sacrament church grounds.
