"Let's all raise food for victory / Make this model victory garden grow!" billboard, Wilshire Blvd, 1943

A billboard on the south side of Wilshire Boulevard just west of Stanley Ave promoting the growing of a “victory garden” the war effort. A victory garden was a garden which people made in their backyards in which they’d grown their own food, vegetables mainly, so that more food could go to the fighting forces. This photo was taken in 1943.
