A newly-finished Carthay Circle theater which opened at 6316 San Vicente Boulevard in 1926 and went on to host the premieres of some of Hollywood’s most famous movies, including “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “Gone with the Wind.” But when this photo was taken, all that was still in it future. From the looks of this photo, the theater must have really stood out—there doesn’t seem to be much else around!
