This shot of downtown Los Angeles was taken in 1961 looking southeast from 4th and Beaudry. We can see the Richfield building (black with a tower) in the middle, and the Central Library to the left (short tower with pyramid.) But was surprised me about this photo was how much of downtown was given over to vast parking lots.
