Corner of Wilshire Blvd and Western Ave, circa 1930 (no traffic lights)The corner of Wilshire Blvd and Western Ave, circa 1930. What’s rather scary is that this intersection has no traffic lights to control it. I assume the road with all the cars is Wilshire which means anyone on Western is out of luck if they want to cross over.

In the background, over to the right, you can see a sign for the Henry de Roulet Company. Henry de Roulet was the guy who commissioned the Pellessier building, which houses the glorious Wiltern Theatre, which now stands on the site where that house is sitting.
