In this very “film noir” shot of Vine Street in Hollywood (complete with streets slick with rain) we can see another of the six Schwab’s Pharmacies (the most famous one being, of course, on Sunset Blvd opposite the Garden of Allah hotel) and the offices of the Hollywood Citizen-News which was a newspaper that ran from 1931 to 1948. Then it became “Citizen News” to 1968, and then “Hollywood Cititzen News” (without the hyphen) until 1970.
