Apparently, in the early days of Venice (this photo was taken in 1906), one could while away the hours of a Sunday afternoon by going camel-riding. However, just as interesting, you can see in this photo how gorgeous the Abbot Kinney’s architecture was. So intricate and textured. I wish this photo was in color!
