Hollywood Boulevard looking east from near the Highland Ave corner in 1934. A view of Hollywood Boulevard looking east from near the Highland Ave corner in 1934. In the middle of the street, you can see a painted zone. That was for people waiting for the streetcar. From what I can see, it’s just a painted zone – can you imagine standing in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard like that waiting for a streetcar and hoping that some crazy driver doesn’t get your first?

Oh, the greats that drove up and down this street back in the Golden Age. Hollywood still had a small town look to it. Or maybe this is a Sunday afternoon.

Just love everything about this pic.

    Thanks for this, Martin.
