A picture postcard of Brittingham’s Radio Center Restaurant located at the CBS radio studios on Sunset Boulevard. The biggest radio stars of the day would eat lunch there before or after rehearsals or broadcasting. According to a matchbook cover I came across, Brittingham’s also ran restaurants at Selznick Studios, RKO Studios, Columbia Studios and MGM Studios. I guess they cornered the marketing on studio restaurants.
I’ve been actively involved in the preservation and restoration of CBS Columbia
Square, now in its final stages. A number of people, including myself, are curious
about Brittingham’s Radio Restaurant that occupied the Square in the early days.
I’m wondering if you have any written materials relevant to the Brittingham story or can advise me of possible sources.
Thanks for your time.
Dan
