The 1932 Los Angeles City Directory lists five locations for the Merry-Go-Round Café. The above picture is of what looks like a placemat with chopsticks(?!) inserted on the right. This particular location was at 1304 S. Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles. I’d love to find an actual photo of it, but the nearest I could find was the below, undated newspaper article showing a picture of a some other Merry-Go-Round Café, which looks more like one of those sushi conveyor belts.
