As you can imagine, I love to come across a celebrated name who I was previously unaware stayed at the Garden of Allah Hotel. My latest discovery is Edgar Rice Burroughs, author of Tarzan (and dozen of other works.) Burroughs moved into Villa #23 in February 1934. He presumably remained at that address until the beginning of April 1935, when he married Florence Dearholt.
