According to the notation on this photo, this is the entrance of the Hollywood Bowl, circa 1935. But on looking closer, I think perhaps this is the model of the entrance. Also according to the notation, it was an undertaking of the Federal Art Project. The FAP was the visual arts arm of Roosevelt’s New Deal Works Progress Administration program whose goal was to employ out-of-work artists and to provide art for non-federal government buildings: schools, hospitals, libraries, etc. (1935 to 1943)
