During Hollywood’s heyday, the three biggest hotels actually in Hollywood/West Hollywood were the Garden of Allah, the Chateau Marmont, and this one, the Hollywood Hotel, which stood on the corner of Hollywood and Highland, where the mall now stands. What a shame only one of them survive today.
Oh, my goodness, how I’d love to be relaxing in a bamboo lounge chair on that beautiful shady veranda in the 1930s sipping a cold ice tea with lemon and watching the cars and people passing by. Anybody care to join me?
