“offer you only the finest of freshly prepared foods, graciously served by attentive waiters.”
And even better, I don’t see anybody here wearing cut-off jeans and a tee-shirt that reads “I’m With Stupid.”

    That little girl looks to be about 3, which would make her around 62 or 63 now. Wouldn’t it be lovely to see if she remembers that ride?

    BTW, this is also my birth year. Wonderful photo, thanks for posting it.

    The fine china in use here is a special service only for the dome diners and was called Desert Flower. Since it was generally available, authentic items will be backstamped UPRR. It’s basically green on the beige body and very nice looking. The normal china service was Winged Streamliner in gold on the solid white body. (The Portland Rose was another train that had carried a special china service on Union Pacific.)
