It was a big deal when Warner Bros. opened their “Warner Bros. Hollywood Theater” at 6433 Hollywood Blvd. on April 26, 1928. The opening picture was “Glorious Betsy” starring Conrad Nagel and Delores Costello. In between screenings of the feature was the “Ceballos Revue with Daphne Pollard, Harry Kelly and the girls” so patrons really got their money’s worth. In the 1953, the theater was rejigged for widescreen and was rechristened “Warner Hollywood Cinerama” whose first picture “This is Cinerama” ran 133 weeks.
