All the photos I’ve ever come across of the Hollywood Hotel have been taken on or near Hollywood Boulevard or sometimes the Hollywood and Highland corner, where the hotel sat for decades. But this is the first one I’ve ever seen taken from the front porch of the hotel looking out toward Hollywood Boulevard in 1956 (the year it was torn down.) The building with the columns you can see there beyond the palm trees is still there and is where they tape Jimmy Kimmel.
