Griffith Observatory on its opening day, May 14, 1935

Griffith Observatory on its opening day, May 14, 1935I would love to be able to see what these spectators were looking at. This photo was taken at Griffith Observatory on its opening day, May 14, 1935. It looks like it was a rather hazy day, so perhaps they’re standing there thinking, “Bummer, dude.” (or the 1935 equivalent.)
