It’s rare (at least in my experience) to find a panoramic photo that dates back so far. This one shows Hollywood Boulevard in 1927. Near the center, we can see Grauman’s Chinese theater, and to it’s right, the Hollywood Hotel. I suspect it was taken from the roof of the Roosevelt Hotel, which opened August 1927. Actually, I’m surprised at the number of buildings. I’d have thought it would be less filled in by 1927.
