This gorgeous shot is of the Bullocks Wilshire department store as seen from Wilshire Place where the main driveway was leading to the portico. In those days, your car was valet parked, and the valet would give you a number of where your vehicle was parked so that all your purchases could be stowed in your trunk while you continued to shop. No having to cart around heavy packages with you. SO civilized, doncha know?
