I’ve come across all sorts of shots of the streetcars of L.A. during my cyber-wanderings, but this is the first time I’ve seen what they looked like on this inside. This is the sort of streetcar that ran along Hollywood Boulevard back in the day. Notice the pull-down window shades. The tubular frame seats were mounted on a swivel so they could be turned around by the crew at the end of the line when the streetcar would head back toward downtown. I wish this photo was in color because apparently the padded seats were upholstered in green mohair.
