With the vast majority of photos from Hollywood’s golden era being in black-and-white, it can be easy to forget that it was actually a world of color! I’m reminded of that when I do come across the odd photograph in color, like this one of the Hollywood Hotel. This was taken in 1954 – I love the striking yellow awning out the front. It would have been hard to miss it if you were walking by.
