One of my favorite architectural features of Los Angeles during Hollywood’s golden era is the circular drive-in restaurant with a tall, central tower. One of the best examples of them was this one: Herbert’s, which stood on the southeast corner of Beverly and Fairfax, currently occupied by the CBS Television City studios.
