It’s hard to believe that the view from the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Blvd ever looked like this. I don’t have a date on this photo, but the hotel opened in 1912 and I’d say it was taken not too long after. I’ve heard it was considered a getaway resort hotel in the middle of nowhere, and now I can see why. There doesn’t seem to be a soul around for miles.
