It looks like all the 1950s cool kids have met up for some drag racing in the Los Angeles River. When the Army Corps of Engineers concreted over the L.A. River in the late 1930s, I wonder if they realized they were providing hipsters 20 years later with a perfect drag strip. I love how the photographer has captured the cars’ headlights.
