This is an aerial shot of the First National Studios in Burbank, 1926 – two years before Warner Bros. — flush with cash from their talkie smash, “The Jazz Singer” — purchased a majority interest in them. And it’s not hard to see why – look at all that empty land. I’m not certain, but I’d say that Warner Bros. possibly takes up most of the land in this picture.
