There are few buildings left in Los Angeles that look pretty much as they did when they were first built. The waiting room at LA’s Union Station is one of them. This photo was taken in 1939, the year it opened, and the notation on this shot called the leather chairs “iconic.” I’ve never though of them in that way, but I think that’s right. Although they’re no longer configured quite like this, they’re still big and roomy and comfy!
