Dave DeCaro is a photographer who also collects vintage photos, and you never know what he’s going to post on his Davelandweb site. This shot (from the late 1950s) is one of my favorites. Taken from above the Sunset Strip, the tower to the left is the Chateau Marmont. Looking across Hayvenhurst Drive where the light green car is parked we can see the Garden of Allah. In the center of the photo is the main building, and to the right you can see the (in)famous pool. I love how blue the water looks!
