This is the Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica in 1938—probably somewhere near the California Incline, I’d say. It looks so calm and peaceful (and easy to find a park), doesn’t it? I can see a total of FIVE cars on PCH. When was the last time THAT happened? (Probably the day this photo was taken.)
