A double decker bus unloads passengers at 7th and Olive, Los Angeles, 1937Here’s another one of those slice-of-1930s-life I like so much. This was taken in 1937 at the corner of 7th and Olive Streets in downtown L.A. It must have been summer because those women in the middle aren’t in coats. Or even hats! But get a load of that double decker bus. It looks like a shrunken version of those English ones, except with an open-air upper deck. This is Los Angeles, after all.

Hotel Victoria/ex-Orena should be on the NW corner facing 7th with a smaller facade and Olive with a larger profile.
