Having spent a fun day at Disneyland yesterday, this photo particularly caught my eye. This was taken in 1956, a year after the park opened. It shows more clearly how Disneyland was carved out of citrus orchards—the one in the foreground is now, of course, long gone. In fact the only thing visible in this photo that’s still there is Disneyland itself. Everything else is completely unrecognizable.
